CAPRO exists because capturing and processing large data has become central to social science and humanities research, while the technical support for it has not kept up. We fill that gap.

A team inside the university

We are based at the Department of Psychology, University of Oslo, and work with projects across the social sciences and humanities at UiO and beyond.

Inge Kasbohm Amlien

Data Engineer / Cloud / Containers / HPC

Tech background and a PhD in psychology /neuroscience. Inge has a passion for building robust and scalable solutions that allow researchers to focus on their research while maintaining high standards of data security and privacy.

Athanasia Mo Mowinckel

Workflow / Data processing / Web applications / R

With a PhD in psychology, Mo transitioned into research software and development as she saw technical solutions could aid fellow scientists in driving their projects forwards.

Dr. Markus is highly skilled, holding a PhD in psychology. He is a dedicated researcher who consistently stays at the forefront of the field through his passion for exploring and discovering new advancements.

José-Luis Alatorre-Warren

Computational neuroimaging / Structural and diffusion MRI / Developmental and evolutionary neuroscience

José Luis has a diverse background in engineering (BSc), applied physics (MSc), and evolutionary biology (PhD). He enjoys creating and implementing advanced tools that help make sense of complex patterns in biology and neuroscience.
